Garden Street Inn, A Kirkwood Collection Hotel

Excellent location and charm; lovely breakfasts. Little sink and faucet in Old Town room need some maintenance, but we still loved our stay there.

We stayed 1 night at the Inn and it was perfect. Next time we are in SLO we will be staying here! It’s very clean, well decorated, rustic but not dated, great food, perfect location, and completely services! We stayed at our first ever Inn while in a different city and were disappointed for the price VS value. This Inn completely made us realize it was just a bad experience with the other place and there are Inn’s that are great to stay at. The bed was comfortable, towels were cozy, nice seating area in the front room and outside. Completely wine and cookie upon arrival! Very walkable to a nice neighborhood but also downtown shopping and restaurant area. The only downside was the parking, no parking on premises but it wasn’t that difficult to find spots on the street. Thanks, we will be back!

We had a wonderful time at the Garden Street Inn. We were given the Emerald Isle room on the first floor and it had an attached back porch. It was very comfortable and spacious. Staff was very helpful and polite. The hotel is a perfect location to walk to numerous restaurants and shops. Felt very safe in the city. From 4-6pm they offered locally made wine and chocolate chip cookies. In the morning we were served delicious omelets, fresh fruit and chocolate banana muffins. Overall, we were impressed. Only downside (if I had say anything) was free parking was an about a 8-10 minute walk away, but if you’re okay with paying $8, the parking garage is one block away - which is where we parked. Very convenient. I would definitely stay here again!

A cute B&B in the heart of SLO, with a wonderful breakfast and complimentary wine and cookies, which felt very welcoming. The rooms were a bit tired and very light though. Our only request for our booking was a quiet room away from the road, and we got a corner room on the ground floor with traffic noise all night. Was only able to sleep with earplugs and an eye mask. Perhaps in a quieter room, this would be a lovely find.

It’s truly a six-star hotel. I stayed here for one night while traveling from SF to LA, and the experience was excellent overall. The room was beautiful, the bed was very comfortable, and the interior design was impressive. The complimentary breakfast was outstanding as well—on the day I stayed, they served a spinach and cheese omelette that was delicious. I gave it 5 stars because the parking was about 200 meters away on the street, which I didn’t expect. Aside from that minor inconvenience, everything was top-notch.

The Garden Street in is a charming and historic place to stay conveniently located close to the restaurants and Mission in downtown San Luis Obispo. Our room was large and we had a very comfortable night’s rest and enjoyed the breakfasts prepared for us in the sunny front room each morning.

We had a great time at Garden Street Inn. The rooms were clean and cute. The breakfast was hot and delicious. The staff were warm and courteous, even while dealing with difficult guests. Would come back anytime!

the only thing I would have liked better would have been a second chair and a small chest of drawers. Otherwise, our stay was super nice. I really liked how I got a text every morning asking if I wanted cleaning service. The innkeepers were very kind and breakfast was nice. Thank you for making my stay so pleasant.
